Sonoma, CA (July 19, 2026) — The 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season continued with high-stakes action at Sonoma Raceway during the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals presented by PowerEdge, July 17-19. Fans were treated to thrilling final-round matchups across multiple categories, with several notable performances and first-time winners emerging under sunny Northern California skies.
Top Fuel
Veteran Doug Kalitta piloted his No. 1 qualifier to victory in the Top Fuel final, defeating Jasmine Salinas. Kalitta ran a strong 3.731-second pass at 339.96 mph for the win, holding off Salinas who trailed with a 3.815 at 319.14 mph. Kalitta secured his second Wally of the season and 61st career title. He improved to 5-0 lifetime against Salinas in this matchup.

Funny Car

Vandergriff notched his second career Wally with a solid performance after starting from the No. 1 qualifying position.
Pro Stock
Greg Stanfield earned his first Wally of the season (and seventh career, sixth in Pro Stock) with a holeshot victory over Erica Enders. Stanfield's reaction time advantage proved decisive in a very close race, running 6.551 at 211.30 mph to Enders' 6.550 at 210.87 mph. This marked back-to-back wins for Stanfield at Sonoma.

In a razor-close Top Dragster final, Keith Winters defeated Thomas Bayer by just 0.0013 seconds (approximately 5 inches). Winters ran 6.313 at 214.66 mph for his first Wally in his first career final-round appearance.
