Race Results: Multi-Division Thrills at Hickory Motor Speedway on May 16, 2026

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Motor Speedway delivered a full night of high-speed action on Saturday, May 16, 2026, as six divisions competed in feature events ranging from 20 to 75 laps. Drivers battled through qualifying and hot laps before taking on the main events, with several standout performances and one notable disqualification highlighting the program.

In the Late Models A-Feature (75 laps), Thomas Beane (#01) started from the pole and wired the field for the victory. Michael Bumgarner (#51) charged from sixth to finish second, while Skyler Chaney (#17) took third. Akinori Ogata (#14) and Chase Robertson (#37) rounded out the top five.

Bumgarner proved to be the night’s most versatile driver, also capturing the Leapfrog Lawncare Super Trucks 50-lap feature in the #97. Starting on the pole, he led Jacob Hayes (#0) and Jesse Smith (#08) across the line, with Chris Huffman (#51C), Hunter Hatton (#4), Dustin Little Jr. (#11), Josh Goble (#65), and Allen Huffman (#51) completing the field.

The Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Models put on a 60-lap show that saw Mark Johnson (#13) storm from fifth starting position to claim the win. Paityn Feyen (#88) finished a strong second after starting near the front, followed by Don Carlton (#14) in third. Ben Mack (#13M), Hunter Deshautelle (#57), and Joshua Horniman (#43) finished fourth through sixth. Pole sitter Memphis Villarreal (#38) was disqualified following the race, dropping him from the results.

Cody DeMarmels (#30) dominated the Heritage Finance Street Stocks 30-lap feature, leading wire-to-wire from the pole for the victory. John Reynolds (#8R), Trey Buff (#48), Marshall Sutton (#64), and Kyle Divanna (#71) completed the top five.

In the Renegades 20-lap A-Feature, Steve Smart (#16) started on pole and drove to a convincing win over Matthew Chambers (#81) and Jordan Cook (#55).

The Super Stocks capped the night with a competitive 60-lap main event. Mike Wallace (#19W) started second and edged out pole-sitter Ben Ebeling (#44) for the victory. Chrissy Wallace (#19) charged to third, with Damian Payton (#64) fourth and Harvey Harrison (#35) fifth.
